TWGU - Urban Environment

The TWGU aims to address the following topics:
- Coexistence of different RATs (GSM, UMTS, LTE, WiFi, …) and cell types (Macro, Micro, Pico, Femto)
- Energy efficiency and performance enhancement of wireless networks
- Development of MIMO channel models for urban system-level simulations
- Reference simulation scenarios including various RATs
- Pathloss prediction models for urban environments verified by measurements
- Measurement based mobility modeling for cars, pedestrians and indoor users
- Network traffic models
- Interferences: Outdoor-to-Indoor, Indoor-to-Outdoor and Indoor-to-Outdoor-to-Indoor
- Harmonization of system-level simulators and ray-tracing tools used by the individual partners
